Easter 2011

We had a wonderful Easter and Easter weekend. Kinsley was out of school on Thursday and Friday and we all enjoyed the break. We swam a LOT and enjoyed spending time with each other and our friends.

I have a feeling this child will be walking sooner than later.
The kids were excited about the weekend.
Really excited.
See what I mean?
We started off on Thursday being lazy.
I can't wait until summer break.
Early in the day we had friends over to swim.
When Justin got home, we swam again. Justin cranked up the music to get them pumped.
My fish
Colby hung out in the hot tub at the beginning of the weekend, but by the end the little man was actually swimming!
Hadley's first time in the pool this year.
She stayed in this float for at least an hour.
We also made pink lemonade cupcakes on Friday.

Friday night, I did the Resurrection Eggs with the kids. Those are the plastic eggs with different symbolic trinkets in each one that tells the Easter story with the last egg being empty to represent the empty tomb. I was so proud that Kinsley was able to tell me what several of the different things in the eggs meant.

Saturday was the neighborhood egg hunt.

Colby did pretty good in the 3-5 age group.

Kinsley had a tough time with the other 6-8 year olds. A six year old girl vs an eight year old boy equals no contest. Poor thing only found 2 eggs one of which was already opened. Luckily Colby shared with her.
Maybe next year for this little one.
Saturday night we had several friends over for to grill out, swim, and dye Easter eggs.
Hadley getting her energy before everyone arrives.
Our sad little eggs.
Seven kids dyeing eggs at the same time is not a good idea. We might have broken a record for the fastest egg dyeing.
Sunday morning, Hadley was up before anyone.
I let her down and let her go to town on her goodies.

She spotted the loot.
She went right to her stuff.

Checking out the goods.
Pushing her new stroller
Kinsley with her goodies.
Shocker: a train!

My gorgeous family

I had to get a pic of how puffy Hadley's dress was.
Looking like Scarlett O.
Getting up early, wore her out.
Our cross in the yard and the true reason for the season.
Our egg hunt at home.
Hadley got in on the action.
Kinsley found the prized Chocolate Bunny egg.
Colby found the most!

Sunday night I found this in the playroom.
Everybody laid back and watching Ratitoulle.
