Valentines and More

Last week Kinsley had her preschool Valentines party. Colby and I always like to party with the class and luckily Mimi had sent some cool Valentine outfits for them to wear.

The weather has not been the best around here and the kids are getting very creative with the games they play. This day they put on old Halloween costumes and chased the dog.

Kinsley was a butterfly.

Colby was a bumble bee. His sister kept screaming, "Sting the dog! Sting the dog!".

We also did yoga and this is a 4 year olds' version of a yoga outfit.

For Valentine's Day, the boys cooked the girls dinner and we made dessert for the boys.

They guys got all dressed up and gave us roses then sent us upstairs while they cooked. It was very sweet.

This is the kids this morning. We are celebrating Kinsley's birthday a little early. Kinsley got to go with Justin and pick out doughnuts this morning. Later today Kinsley is going to get her ears pierced and then we're heading to Chuck E. Cheese. This is the kids "we are so excited for today" face.

Party Time

So I'm pretty sure that my mom is the only one that will care to watch this video but have to say Justin and I thought the ending was hilarious (of course we are the parents). A little back story: One of my kids' favorite thing to do is dance in the kitchen after dinner. Combine that with one of Colby's favorite songs and this is what you get. Like I said Colby's final move had me crying.

A Little about Colby and Early Valentines

I realized yesterday that Colby 2 1/2 last week so I thought I would post a little about our Little Man.

• He talks REALLY well and LOTS. He is hilarious!
• He loves trains, tractors, and trucks. Oh and dine-er-saurs.
• He is still a picky eater. I think he subsides on chicken nuggets, pizza, bananas, and peanut butter and crackers.

• Colby is now an early riser. The kid that once slept all the time now goes to bed later than Kinsley and is up before everyone else most days.
• He can sing his ABC's and count to 12. We're working on his colors...he's got pink (from his sister) and green (from his tractor).
• He still has his sweet demeanor and is happy-go-lucky 97% of the time. AND he shares with others very well.

• He can ride his trike and loves his sister and his dog.
• He's kicking the thumb sucking habit. We are soooo close!
• He's very excited about starting "school" next year like KK.
• He used to tell me he would start using the potty when he turned 3. The other day he informed me that it would be before he turned 3. That's progress I guess!

Colby: Mom, I weally want to be a police officer.

Me: You can be one if you want to when you're a grownup.

Colby: When I am I be a grownup?

Me: You know, like when you're a daddy.

Colby: So when we get home?

Me: Sure

Justin downloaded the pictures from Kinsley's camera last night (all 463 of them) and here are some of the best ones. I have finally figured out what she does during nap time. There were tons of pictures of our backyard taken from her window and ones of her stuffed animals posed and grouped together. When I asked her about the animals, she said that she was having "photo shoots" with the family. She is so like her Mimi that it's scary. Mom, maybe one day you can pass down the Nikon to her.

Mississippi Comes to Texas

This weekend we had Mimi, Pops, and Nanny visit and we loved every minute. We pretty much hung around our neighborhood but the kids had fun just playing with the grandparents. Mimi did get the kids new cowboy boots for the rodeo in a few weeks and they LOVE them!!
