A New Baby and Shopping

First, I have to say congratulations to our friends Sara Whit and Brian. They finally (and I do mean finally) welcomed baby Lilly into this world. They are a wonderful Christian couple that will be great parents to Lilly.

Second, the Baker/Cagle clan (whom we love deeply here at the Brennan household) gave Kinsley a Target gift card as part of her birthday present. Yesterday I took her to go shopping. She was so cute. She toted her oversized Hello Kitty purse with that gift card in it all through the toy section. She was very meticulous in choosing her toy. Then she brought it to the front and let the lady scale it (scan it) and proudly pulled out her gift card to pay.

Tough Questions and Partying at Mimi's

Okay so first I have to tell this story. I was reading on a random blog about how this couple's 3 year old knew that Obama was president. So I decided to see if Kinsley knew the answer. This is how the conversation went:

Me: Kinsley I have a question for you.

Kinsley: Okay Mamma.

Me: Do you know who our president is?

Kinsley: Our president?

Me: Yes, do you know his name?

Kinsley: Um, I think it's Dinky Dino.

Political activists we are not.

Happy Birthday Kinsley!

Our little Kinsley is 4! Yesterday we had her Friend Party. We decided to scale it down this year a little bit. We just invited some of her "big kid" friends. It was a lot of fun and considerably less stressful (for me). First we had art projects for the kids. The girls made princess crowns, necklaces, bracelets, and colored their own picture frames. The boys made pirate hats, swords, eye patches, and picture frames. Then the kids got to decorate their over sized cupcakes with different kinds of candy and sprinkles. Next Kinsley, with the help of all her friends, opened her gifts. That was done in about 30 seconds, literally. We also busted a pinata and played Pin the Tail on the Donkey. It was a really fun day!

This morning Kinsley got to open her presents from us before church. Her tummy is hurting a little so we hope it gets better by this afternoon. Mimi is having a Family Party for everyone after church.

Baby Campbell

Congrats to our friends Derric and Carrie on their new darling Campbell. A whopping 8 lbs 14 oz! Callie will be a great big sis. We can't wait to meet her!

The Children's Museum

We went to the Children's Museum today for the first time. I can't believe I waited this long to take Kinsley. The kids had a blast (and so did Mimi and I).

Valentine's Fun

We checked out another Chuck E Cheese this weekend and man was it cool. It had this HUGE rocking horse (like 10 feet tall). You had to climb up a ladder to get to it. As soon as Kinsley saw it she was like, "I want to get on that!" Colby was scared at first but eventually he came around.

My friend Kristy made these adorable cookies for Kinsley's Valentine school party. Thanks Kristy, they were so cute!

A few weeks ago, Kinsley saw these lounge chairs at Target and begged for one. Well there was only one princess one left and they were on clearance. She thought my mom was buying it for her birthday. We did a switcheroo and I ended up surprising the kids with them for Valentine's Day. Colby's not into his as much, but Kinsley won't hardly get out of hers.

And to my girls Carrie and Sara Whit: Hang in there for just a few more days. The countdown is on!
