Where the Wild Things are....

A few weeks ago Colby, Hadley, and I met the Trawicks at the Birmingham Zoo (Kinsley was in school).
The flamingos weren't afraid to get up close and personal with us. Here they are stalking up to us. They eventually got close enough for us to touch them, had we wanted to.

  Best buds

Kay Elise staring intently

Hadley had fun wondering all over the place.
Checking out the wild dogs. Seriously.

Having fun at the defunct-splash pad.
I promise she was the one insistent on wearing Colby's bike helmet but Justin and I do think she may be on to something.
Justin was in charge of pictures on Sunday while I was getting ready.
 He got some good ones....
This one just cracks me up.

The little ones watching the Super Bowl.
Really it was Elmo.
Very accurate depiction of what our house is like in the morning.
Hadley is ready to play the Curious George game.
My parents and grandparents were in town last weekend for my great, great aunt's 90th birthday. Since they weren't going to be here for Kinsley's birthday we had a "fake" birthday party for her. I think I would have called it an early birthday but when in Rome....
This child loves some Charming Charlie's.
And can play up for the camera among the best of them.
Mimi and Pops got her a pink electric scooter and she was pumped!
Opening an early Valentine's from Mimi and Pops.
Check out the candy box. So true.

Yesterday Hadley did not under any circumstances want her picture taken.
But she looked so cute.
Colby had his school Valentine's Party yesterday and it was a blast as always.

Last night we had our annual "Boys-cook-for-the-girls" Valentine dinner. We had to have it a day early because of Kinsley's theater class on Tuesdays. We had to get really dressed up for dinner.
K designed her own outfit.
H was still not feeling the camera that day.

The boys set the table up and each girl got her own rose.
Maybe the cutest dinner date ever.
 My men
We had some dancing before dinner.
I barely snagged him for a quick pic.
Hadley loved to twirl. Imagine that.
I will so blackmail them with this one day.
 Dancing with Daddy
It just warmed my heart to see this. Mainly because Colby gets so impatient with his little sister most of the time.
This morning the kids opening their Valentine gifts from us, Grandma Cheri and the great grandparents.
Hadley looks SO big right here.

Looking cute in her Valentine vintage tee.

Colby got some grow your own dinosaur eggs in his Valentine gift from us. I wasn't exactly sure how it worked but it ended up being so cool. I wish I took a picture of the actually eggs this afternoon.

Love all of the pics! The one of Colby and Anderson is too cute. I SO think you need to frame the crazy one that Justin took on Sunday. Hilarious!

By the way, I think I'm stealing your cute Valentine tradition for next year!
