January went by in a complete blur. I didn't take too many pictures this month and I'm sitting here trying to remember what all we did. Justin went on a business trip to Las Vegas for a week and Mimi stayed with us so I would survive to help me out. Justin and I also celebrated our 9th anniversary. Can I just say, "Wow, we're getting old!" Miss Hadley decided she didn't need to be in a crib anymore and proceeded to fall/jump out of her crib so now she is in a big girl bed. That has made nap time a new adventure for us. We signed up Colby for soccer and he is so excited to start that next month. We went to a UAB women's basketball game last weekend because Kinsley's school was participating in Books for Baskets. We all had a great time (pictures are still on my phone) and can't wait to check out a baseball game this spring. We've met a lot of our neighbors and the kids have enjoyed playing outside with their new friends. Kinsley is in cheerleading full swing now and still doing theater as well.
Here are a few pictures from her first game.
Justin brought the kids back lots of chocolate from Vegas.
Kinsley has been having "Workout Wednesdays" this month at school. The kids and teachers all wear workout gear and do special exercises in P.E.
Colby decided we needed to make smoothies one day and luckily we had everything we needed.
Not real sure why Hadley is so upset here. She probably wanted candy instead.
Finger painting with my little man.
Last week was career week at Kinsley's school. On Friday the students could dress up in what they wanted to be when they grew up. Even though Kinsley said she wanted to be a fashion designer, she chose to dress up as a teacher. Then decided she was an art teacher.
Of course now that they are learning about Helen Keller (and she is OBSESSED), she's thinking of teaching sign language. I guess she's got a little time left to decide.
Whenever I take someone else's picture in front of the fireplace, Hadley automatically goes over to get hers taken as well.
The other day at the grocery store, I saw the old school Jiffy Pop popcorn. I remember my grandmother making this ALL the time when I was little. I thought the kids would think it was neat to have for Movie Night. At first they were totally not into it until the dome-thingy started getting bigger. Then it was "the coolest thing ever."
I don't think this will be the last time Hadley wears her big sister's shoes.
Movie night
Hadley was really into it.
She loves to pose.
And here are the out takes from Sunday morning's photo shoot.
Needless to say I didn't get one to frame out of the bunch.
And we lost the little one....
I think I was bribing with candy at this point.
We have such a fun February planned. I can't believe Kinsley will be 7 in a few short weeks!!! She has decided to go to the American Girl store/restaurant in Atlanta for her birthday and we are so excited for the trip. Justin and I have planned a much, much needed getaway to the Keys as well. I'm also looking forward to watching the C-man hit the soccer field again too (hopefully I won't have to pull him onto the field this year). I'm also hoping for an early Spring around here too. We are so over winter in this house!
