So I've mentioned a few times how Hadley is a bit of a wild child. I know it's hard to believe with that angelic face she has and all. Well now I have photographic proof of the little stinker.
A couple of weeks ago, we took a weekend trip to Mimi and Pop's and while we were there we went to the farm and got pumpkins.
When we got home, the kiddos wanted to paint them so we took them to the back porch and got to work. Check out Hadley patiently waiting at the small table.
Kinsley was in deep concentration.
Colby was so excited.
And Hadley...
well she had to taste the paint.
Check out her lips.
Yes, it's non-toxic, I checked.
She painted for a second....
Then she wanted to paint Mom.
Colby hard at work.
Kinsley finishing her design.
And sweet Hadley...
well this was about the point when she broke the paint brush off into the umbrella hole on the table.
Giving me the, "I can't believe you handed a 15 month old a paintbrush" look while downing some applesauce.
The finished products.
Kinsley had a 1st grade program last week at school.
It was all about Alabama and she got to hold a poster of the state.
Always loving the spotlight :)
We had to get the sillies out before we went to school.
Hadley rocking one of the new outfits Nanny made for her.
And trying to ride the dog.
Reinforcing the fact that we definitely need to child-proof this house.
"I need to make a phone call."
This would be the stinker Sunday morning after she stole Kinsley's powdered doughnut.
And it was good!
She was a little ashamed though.
A few years ago, I remember posting a picture of my bed after Kinsley made it. I think she was 3 or 4 years old. Well this morning Colby told me he had a surprise for me and had "made" my bed. Which really did help me because I was cleaning up the mess after Hadley had pulled my entire standing jewelry box over while I was in the shower.
Now please forgive the lack of bed linens, headboard, frame, anything. We put our old bed in the guest room and bought a king size bed for our new room and clearly I haven't done anything with it yet.
But Colby still did a great job I think!
Colby was Starfish Student at his preschool last week and I had the pleasure of getting to eat lunch with him and his class on Friday. I love getting special one-on-one time with each of the kiddos.
Even if it's just chasing after this one!
