Christmas

We returned from Mimi's house on Saturday where we had a week long vacation (especially for me). The kids enjoyed their extended stay and the massive amount of toys they got. I retired my camera for the week so pics at Mimi's will have to come later when she emails me some. Our Christmas in Houston was obviously different from Christmas's in the past. It was very relaxed and low key. Christmas Eve morning we went to the children's service at church followed by a birthday party for Jesus. It was very cute, quick, and kid appropriate. As Justin said, it really put you in a mood for celebration and reiterated the true meaning of Christmas.
Later Christmas Eve, we had our yummy steak dinner and made brownies for Santa.

Mixing up the brownies
Putting out the reindeer food
Even though we have a real chimney, the kids insisted Santa have a key in case he couldn't get in.
Brownies for Santa
Kinsley had me write a Thank you note in advance.
Coming downstairs Christmas morning.
Colby saw the train table and it was all over. He didn't care about anything else!
Kinsley's loot

When we finally convinced Colby to look in his stocking, he was so cute. He pulled each individual goodie out and asked, "How'd dat get in dare?" for everything in his stocking.

He literally cried when he had to leave the train and open his presents!
Their together gift: a new Bible for bedtime.
A new apron. It says Diva in Training.

Had to put a shot of JB in there opening a gift.
