When it rains all week...

my kids get a little kooky. Thank goodness it's 75 and sunny today.

This picture is for my mom since she hasn't seen it yet. This is my newly painted laundry room. There's a washer and dryer in there somewhere, but if you've seen one washer.... Man that place was scary before. It seriously gave me the heebie jeebies. I don't think any of this home's previous owners had ever painted it. Now it's one of my favorite rooms in the house, which is good since I spend LOTS of time in there. The brown canvas did have a big bottle of wine on it, so I painted it brown and put the vinyl B with polka dots on it.

A mostly Kinsley post

First of all, Blogger is whacked and is doing some crazy things with my pictures so please excuse the random order. We had a really fun weekend. We've met some wonderful new people and are so excited to hang out with our new friends. Just some random pics from this week. The weather has been crazy....90's one day then cold and rainy the next. Mom, sorry for the lack of Colby pictures. He's a wild man.

Kinsley on a front yard Safari.
We've been using "incentives" to motivate Kinsley to work on things she'll need for Kindergarten next year. If she wrote her name, we got to have an ice cream party (we all were pushing her to practice for this one). This week she finally conquered that dreaded S.

Just sass

What have they spotted? Could it be...another SUV!
The Wild Life of suburban living.
Another "incentive" for K was a girls only night. She earned that one by finally counting to 20. We played beauty shop and gabbed and did our hair.

Fall Festivals

We have had such a fun weekend so far (which is good since we are painting the laundry room after church today = no fun). Friday night Justin took us for a surprise dinner and outing in a cute part of town that the kids and I had never been. The kids were so excited...

Only he knew where we were going...scary!
On Saturday, we went to two fall festivals. The first one was at a local church and the second was at a community center. We had a blast but missed our Mimi who has been with us for every fall festival since K was born.

Colby won a cake walk. Of course, he picked a ball cake!

The Closet

Wondering why I posted a picture of our downstairs closet? I would love to have picture of what's inside but I'm afraid I would wake up this child...
For the past two days, Kinsley has asked to nap in our coat closet. Yesterday she took her first nap in months in the closet and declared that was where she was going to nap from now on. Since this child NEVER sleeps during the day, I even cleaned the closet out for her last night...and she's currently on hour number 2 of her nap today!

Justin busted out the tennis rackets last night when we were outside. We played for about 15 minutes before somebody (Justin) got clocked by somebody else (Kinsley).

She actually hit this one!

Colby would rather work on the tractor.

Painted Cabinets and Pics of the kids (of course)

One of the many projects on our new house's to do list was to paint our kitchen cabinets. They were ugly and worn and kinda gross. I had thought we might paint them sometime this winter when we were bored enough to say something like, "Man, I'm so bored. Why don't we knock out those cabinets?". Apparently my husband had other ideas. So this weekend we painted the dreaded, ugly cabinets and I love, love, love my new kitchen.

My Desk After
Please ignore the chaos on the desk. I was too busy painting to clean it off this weekend.

What would a post be without some pictures of the kids?
Check out Colby's face.
You know when you have a "cute" day?
I think she was feeling it.

We still are loving the new wheels.
