Well the good news is that we finally made it to Birmingham! The bad news is there are no pictures of my beautiful children in this post, so if that's what you're wanting you may want to stop reading now. So far the transition has been pretty smooth with a few hiccups along the way. What's a move without a little drama, right? Luckily, there was no you're-not-closing-today-even-though-the-moving-truck-is-on-its-way drama. We have had to switch Colby's preschool from the original one that we had picked due to logistics. Also, it took me 10 days and 14,000 phone calls to AT&T to switch my cell to a local number. Probably the one of the most dramatic moments was last night when Justin informed me there was water all in the bathroom because our plumbing was backed up. Welcome to the neighborhood, right? But in true Brennan fashion we handled that with minimal whining and perseverance. Ha, who am I kidding?
And there has been some comic relief thrown in to help. Like this morning when Colby informed me his new teacher's name was Ms. D@$! It. Two thoughts went through my mind. First was that I was definitely getting a phone call from the preschool today. Second was that clearly Colby had been hanging with the men folk this weekend. Which leads to my next shout out to my parents for coming and working their tails off helping us unpack this weekend. Also my fabulous friend Lauren for being my GPS/Chamber of Commerce liaison and bringing all the delicious meals and goodies/extra lbs. In all reality, it's so nice to be finally getting settled. We are really excited to finally be here and be all together as a family.
I'm not even going to mention yesterday when we thought little Hadley had escaped......
