So much has been going on here that I have really neglected the blog so this is going to be a long post. I'm going to start from today and work backwards because that's how the pictures loaded this time.
First off, this precious one started 1st grade today!
She was super excited (especially about her outfit). Last night she told me that she was sure people would stop her on the playground and compliment her fashion sense. I would LOVE to have this child's self confidence.
So the last 2 weeks Justin was working in Alabama and my mom came here to help me. I honestly would not have survived had she not been here. It was hands down 2 of the craziest weeks of my life. We had 8 house showings, 5 different trips to the doctor, 3 trips to Kinsley's school, and multiple calls/emails from inspectors and mortgage people that needed to be addressed immediately. Of course by these pictures that my mom took it looks like all we did was play. I'm so glad she was here to let the kiddos have fun especially since I was kind of busy.
Pops and Justin came back in town on Friday and we had to fit in one last swim for them.
This will be my blackmail picture for him.
One of their favorites: Justin throwing them high.
Hadley has finally grown enough for the floaties to fit.
She is a total water baby.
Colby really doesn't need the pink floaties.
He can totally swim, proven right here.
Meet my gangstas.
The only reason he's smiling and looking at the camera is because he thought I was taking a picture of his trains.
My girls
Yesterday Justin had the brilliant idea to put the water table on the pool ledge.
The kids had a blast playing with it.
We get into spaghetti night here.
Ready for the pool.
All three reading books from the library.
Love this
So to add to the chaos, I decided that Hadley needed to lose the pacifier last week.
She handled it quite well and only fussed at nap time and bedtime a little.
My boys
Since the last post, big Colby turned 4.
Here he is with his birthday pancakes.
With everything going on, I decided just to do a family party with us and my parents.
We still had to have a pinata though.
With his new car jammies and Thomas movie.
Colby wanted to go to "Mexico" for his birthday dinner.
We settled on Mexican since it was such a far drive :)
Hadley cheesing at dinner.
So I was feeling really guilty about having such a small party for Colby.
I had a feeling it wouldn't matter though when he got his gift from Mimi and Pops and Nanny and Papaw.
I was right.
This is his face when he saw his new Lightening McQueen.
I have the best video of it that I will have to upload.
He was shocked.
More gifts
I love this boy!
Colby was so excited about his Cars cake that he pulled a stool up to the counter and had to watch it.
We start them young around here.
AND...we have a house in Birmingham! I will try to get a picture to put on here. We hope to close in a few weeks and start getting settled.
