Random Stuff

Just thought I'd post the random pictures I've taken this past week. We have been staying busy as we start to wrap up our "activities" for the summer. Kinsley has her last game to cheer in this Saturday, her dance recital is in 2 weeks, and school will finish in a few weeks. We finally have a name for the baby, Hadley Sophia, and we are so ready for her arrival. I am in full on nesting mode, organizing and re-organizing the entire house. Anyway here are those pics I promised.
Kinsley's version of a musketeer
Roses Justin cut for me from the backyard
Kinsley had her first "drop off party" last week.
The theme was Fancy Nancy, so all the kids wore their best.

I'm not sure why Colby is throwing a gang sign in this picture.
This is how I found Colby before church on Sunday.
He was laying on the playroom couch, reading a train book, and had Mickey Mouse Playhouse on the T.V.

This is what happens when your big sister dresses you up.

Pottery Painting, Baseball day and more

A few weeks ago, Kinsley and I went with some friends to a pottery place for some mother/daughter painting time. Kinsley chose to paint a princess bank and she went with a rainbow theme. Here she is with the final product.
Last Thursday Kinsley's school had baseball day.
Slugger is ready to go!
Doesn't everybody dress like this for bedtime?

Yesterday Colby was giving his puppy Sparky hayrides in the back of his tractor.

Tennis anyone?

We have been doing lots of work in our front yard. Mulching, planting, laying sod, you name it. It's still not complete but it is drastically better than it was. So much so, that we've had multiple neighbors tell us as much. Apparently the previous owners weren't much on lawn care.
It may been a small patch of grass to you, but our kids have had a blast playing in the "new grass."

A Different Easter (for us)

Our Easter was different this year because we didn't make it back to MS. We missed celebrating with our family but we still had fun, Houston style. We woke up and saw that the Easter bunny had come. Then we went to church, ate Mexican for lunch, had nap time, and then we swam! The pool water has been pretty warm but Justin turned on the heater for a bit too. We had to pull the kids out of the pool for dinner and Kinsley has already asked if we could swim today. Overall it was a fun day, just different for us.

Easter goodies

Colby found the candy first.
Water guns for the pool.
All pretty for church.

A rare good one of both.

Swimming!

She is such a diva child!

Egg Hunts and more

Today was our neighborhood's Easter egg hunt and we took the kids to do some huntin'. It was a beautiful morning and the hunt was quick but fun!

After the Hunt. KK wore her bunny ears all day long.

Action shot!
Yes that is my big belly in the background.
This afternoon we had to cool off with a popsicle by the pool.
Today we went to another park in our community that is supposed to home some alligators. It reminded me so much of the refuge in Starkville.
Looking for gators.

Friday we dyed our Easter eggs. I bought a "speckled egg" kit (I thought it said Sparkle, so I was all about it). We basically sponge painted the eggs. It was messy but the kids got to be a little more involved.

Playing Easter Bunny
The other day we were playing outside and Colby was hitting the t-ball. He insisted on having a helmet on and the only helmet we have is Kinsley bike helmet.
Here he is giving me his cute face.

We are ready for church tomorrow and celebrating the TRUE meaning of this wonderful holiday!!!

A Partial Nursery, Cupcakes, and Show time

We have been working on baby no-name's room. We are still in need of things to hang on the wall. If we ever decide on a name, that would help. Here is baby girl's bedding.
I tried to lighten this pic but this was the best I could do. This baby actually has the best view in the house. Because of all the trees in our yard, this room feels like a tree house.
The kids got to open their Easter gifts from Nanny today.
Movies, candy, and more ZuZu pet home extensions. They were ecstatic!
Yesterday, we made Easter cupcakes with "grass" and Easter eggs. Side note, I think we have eaten almost every meal outside the past few weeks.

Decorating her cupcake.
Because my children are constantly entertaining....
