This past weekend we took a trip to Austin. We had a great time checking out the city and the state capital. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

On of our (many) projects we've been working on is our front entryway. Ya'll know I bleed maroon, but our maroon front door was not working for me. We painted the door, replaced the lights, and added some big flower pots and I'm loving it!

Waiting for school to start

We are still in the "dog days" of summer here in Texas. Kinsley still has several weeks until preschool starts but we are keeping ourselves busy. Kinsley started dance lessons this week, we've been hitting up the library for story time, and on cooler days we try to make it to one of the parks. Next week Colby starts his Little Gym class and I'm so excited for his first "activity." Whenever we drive by the Little Gym, Colby will point and say, "Colby's gym! Colby's gym!" So cute! Here are a few pictures from our week.

I wish this picture really told what was going on here, but it doesn't so I will. The kids parked their cars at the end of the driveway. Colby hops out of the tractor and onto the back of the mustang. Kinsley cranked up the radio, grabbed some artificial flowers, and started dancing for approaching cars. I have no idea what that game is called, but it was funny to watch.

Galveston Island

On Saturday we took the kids to the aquarium on Galveston Island. I was a little surprised at how good the aquarium was. The kids really enjoyed all the fish and we had lots of Nemo references. We will definitely go back and will check out more of Moody Gardens.
