We're Baaaack!

Wow, so it's been a while since I updated the blog. We've been busy the past few weeks. First Mimi came to stay with us for a week and helped out a lot. Kinsley had VBS at a local "mega church" that week too. Then we went to Mississippi for two weeks and had a blast. We went to the square and saw the trains, Chuck E Cheese, bowled, swam, and visited lots of friends. There are tons of pics from that week but since Mimi took them, I thought I would post ones she hasn't seen.

While at Mimi's, Colby turned 3 and had the Brennan traditional pancakes with a candle for breakfast.
Then we had a Thomas the Train party with all our MS friends. The cake was fabulous!
Look at that effort!
It's taking a while to get back into the swing of things now. Kinsley started dance this week and we met her Kindergarten teacher last night. She starts school bright and early Monday morning! Colby will start his Sports Skills class at Little Gym this week and pre-school next week. As for Hadley, she is growing like a weed! I love the chubby baby stage! She went to the doctor yesterday for her 2 month appointment. Her stats were: weight 11.2 lbs. height 22 inches. She's in the 50th percentile on weight and 40th in height.

Isn't she a doll?!
Big sis loves to get in the picture with her.
Getting Colby to pose is a totally different story.

She finally likes her swing!

Hanging Out and Fun at the Rainforest

We are in the dog days of summer around here. We are mostly playing inside because it's either raining or 1,000 degrees. Luckily my kids have great imaginations (or magic nations as Colby calls it).
Here they are loaded in the car and ready to go.
Vegging out in front of the TV.
Notice Colby is his BIG BOY UNDERWEAR. He is finally completely potty trained. We are going on days of no accidents, even at night and nap time.

Sisterly love
Hads loves her baths and snuggling afterwards.
Saturday we did make it out of the house to go to the Rain forest Pyramid at Moody Gardens in Galveston. I didn't know what to expect, but it was really neat!

Ready to go
The place is on the Gulf and gorgeous!

Checking out the huge tarantula

Hadley slept, imagine that.

July 4th, Bath time, and a Surprise

Our friends the Currans are in town and stopped by with Fourth of July goodies. Kinsley got a matching outfit with her friend Callie.
Hadley rocking USA shades
I think it may be impossible at this point to get a good shot of all three kids.
My patriotic baby
Brian and Melinda are in town for a visit and the kids are having a blast making them play with them. Here they are waiting for fireworks on the fourth.

She's such a sweet baby!
Hadley's cord finally fell off and she got to take her first bath. She fussed a little bit but not a whole lot. Last night was her second bath and I think she really liked it because she didn't cry at all.

While I had some extra hands this week, we decided to surprise the kids with a trip to Build A Bear (one of their all time favorite places). Colby really got into it this time and named his bear Buzz. Then changed it to John when we got home.
Hadley snoozed during our trip.

Brian and Colby working the computers. It was comical/chaotic.
Who better to help Kinsley dress the bear than Melinda?
Kinsley with her bear appropriately named Ice Cream (she's a limited time bear from Baskin Robbins that's holding an ice cream cone).

A Few Pics from this Week

So I have hospital pictures that I will post later, but since my mom has already seen them I am going to post the few pictures I have taken this week. Kinsley has been our on the go child this week. She's had VBS in the morning and then gone to a different friend's house to play every afternoon. I know she has enjoyed getting out of the house but I've actually missed the little stinker.
On her first day of VBS. Her eyes are looking a little crazy from all the pictures I had taken. Sadly this was the best one.
Hadley on her one week birthday. I think of the Miley Cyrus song Party in the USA whenever I look at this picture.
Always with her hands in the air.
This crazy man has been my little helper all week. He's been surprisingly good with Hadley!
She looks exactly like Kinsley as a baby in this picture.
Love this one.
I don't know if Hadley is looking adoringly at her older brother or if she's scared to death!
So one night after I went to bed apparently Hadley went a little nuts. I think Justin gave up trying to calm her down so he just started snapping pictures of her madness. There was like 10 of her neck vein popping out.
Before VBS on Thursday (it was wear yellow day). Colby still in his PJ's.
Rocking her headbands..which is good since she's got a ton!
